About Ron Maag

State Representative Ron Maag is currently serving his second term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 35th House District, which includes parts of Warren and Hamilton counties.

Prior to being elected to the Legislature, Representative Maag was a salesman for Bristol-Myers Squibb Company and served as a board member for the Warren County Farm Bureau.

An alumnus of the University of Cincinnati, Representative Maag obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in interdisciplinary sciences. He remains active in many community organizations and has been a 4-H advisor, as well as a long-time member of the National Rifle Association.

Representative Maag and his wife Janet live in Salem Township. They have a son, Ron, who attends Wright State University Medical School; and a daughter, Sarah, a graduate of The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.

What is a State Representative?

State Representative is an elected official whose job is to serve as a direct link between those Ohioans he or she was elected to represent and state government. In order to best fulfill this role, a representative responds to constituent concerns and works to provide solutions through legislative action. In order to best serve their constituents, a state representative attends meetings of their local civic, social and business groups in addition to responding to mail, email and telephone correspondence from constituents in their district.
